Professionalism, the Courts,
and My Community
In Order to Affirm the respect for the Judiciary and for our System of Justice, and the Solemnity of the Proceedings in our Courts, by which liberty and family issues as well as property rights and liabilities are peacefully determined for the common good, We ,the Bench and Bar of the Enotah Bar Association recognize that each of us has personal responsibility for the order, decorum and dignity of all judicial proceedings. To this end we adopt the following aspirational goals for our conduct before the Courts:
We will aspire:
1.To be courteous and civil in all communications;
2.To show respect by our attire and demeanor;
3. To advise our clients and our witnesses to show respect by their attire and demeanor;
4. To further advise our clients and our witnesses about the obligations of civility and courtesy and other proper behavior expected at all times of those who use our system of justice; and,
5. To model for others the respect due our courts and our system of justice.
Further, in my community, I will aspire to preserve the dignity and the integrity of my profession by my conduct. I recognize that the dignity and the integrity of my profession is an inheritance that must be maintained by each successive generation of lawyers.
